The Trauma and Emotion Processing group is designed for adolescents and young adults who have experienced trauma, with curriculum drawn from DBT with prolonged exposure (DBT-PE). Sessions focus on helping participants understand the effects and symptoms of trauma, process emotional experiences, and consolidate lessons learned from completed exposure practices.

Participants will learn the function of emotions, practice exposures to emotional experiencing and expression, and work to identify how their current emotional avoidance impacts their lives.

Although this group is particularly suited as an adjunct to ongoing DBT-PE, participation in individual trauma treatment is not required.
