Molly Mechammil is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Boston Child Study Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Mechammil earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of San Diego, and her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Utah State University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles, and her post-doctoral fellowship at Boston Child Study Center – Los Angeles.

Dr. Mechammil specializes in individual, family, and group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as behavioral parent training, approaches. Dr. Mechammil has experience in individual, family, and group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as behavioral parent training approaches. At Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles, Dr. Mechammil specialized in the evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents who present with a variety of complex mental health, medical, and developmental concerns within outpatient and primary care settings. Dr. Mechammil is dedicated to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and incorporating individuals’ experiences with intersectional identities throughout treatment. Dr. Mechammil’s research has focused on the intersection of individual, cultural and familial factors that are associated with ethnic minority youth development, as well as cultural influences on mental health stigma, with a particular emphasis on Middle Eastern/North African populations.
