Gabriel McNair, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Gabriel McNair is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston Child Study Center – Los Angeles. Practicing under the direct supervision of Dr. Ryan Madigan, Dr. McNair provides evidenced-based services to youth, young adults, and families, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), DBT-PTSD, Values-Based Exposure Therapy (An ACT informed treatment for anxiety and depression), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP), Parent Management Training (PMT), psychological consultation, and neuropsychological assessment. Dr. McNair specializes in assessing and treating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood and adjustment disorders, co-occurring medical and psychological diagnoses, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Gabriel’s research has focused on the impact of chronic stress and systemic stress on mental health and academic achievement among racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse populations.
Dr. McNair earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and his graduate degree from DePaul University’s clinical psychology PhD program. He completed his predoctoral internship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and his practicum training at the University of Chicago.
