Individual, Group and Family Therapy

Navigating the countless mental health treatment options available to families can be overwhelming and frustrating. This process is further complicated when providers cite the use of popular evidence-based treatments, such as mindfulness or cognitive behavior therapy, but do not have the necessary intensive training in delivering these interventions. This often leaves families feeling that they have “tried everything” and that a solution is hopeless.

Once you have identified a comprehensive evidence-based treatment center, it can still be overwhelming to identify which state-of-the-art treatment is the best fit.

Comprehensive evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), first seek to assess an individual’s symptoms, identify relevant diagnoses, and pinpoint specific causes. Treatment then identifies and targets individualized goals and tracks progress using standardized measures.

Over recent years, these treatments have been adapted to address an array of disorders in order to reduce suffering and enhance quality of life. BCSC faculty provide comprehensive evidence-based treatments to youth, young adults, and families through individual, family, group, school-based, and intensive treatment modalities.
